My BlackBerry locked up/ It bricked up my phone!
This may happen if you download DriveSafe.ly from a third party source rather than from our website. Here’s what to do to fix the problem.
First, pull the battery to completely shut down your BlackBerry. If you have OS 4.6 or 4.7, restart your phone in "safe mode". Safe mode is designed to start your BlackBerry without any third party apps running, so you can delete them without your phone crashing. Re-insert the battery, and when the red LED light will turn on. When it turns off, press and hold the BlackBerry Escape Key (Back Button) 'till your phone fully reboots. You should now have the option to continue running in safe mode. If you don’t have OS 4.6 or 4.7, restart your phone like you normally would.
Next, go to Options -> Advanced Options -> Applications -> Highlight DriveSafe.ly -> press the BlackBerry Menu Key -> select Delete -> Pull the battery.
If you ever installed from BlackBerry App World, you also need to delete the archived file they created. Open BlackBerry App World -> My World and delete DriveSafe.ly here.
Now perform a memory cleaning to complete the process. Memory Cleaning removes all archived apps and unused caches that take up space on your phone. Go to Options -> Security Options -> Memory Cleaning -> BlackBerry Menu Key -> Clean Now. You may need to pull the battery when it's complete.
If all this fails, you can perform a clean uninstall from your computer using BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
