What if I don't have a valid internet connection?

If your BlackBerry has both WiFi and 3G, try changing these settings to see if one works better than the other. To change this setting, open "Connections" from your BlackBerry home screen.

When you set up DriveSafe.ly, did you make sure to set all your permissions to "Allow"? To edit permissions go to Options -> Advanced Options -> Applications -> Highlight DriveSafe.ly (Don’t Click) -> Hit BB Menu Key -> Set all to Allow -> Hit BB Menu Key and Select Save -> Pull Out and Replace Battery.

Are you on BES or BIS? DriveSafe.ly does work with BES and BIS, but sometimes network security settings interfere with connectivity with our servers. Your network administrator may need to change some of your network settings. We can’t tell you exactly which settings need to be changed because we don’t have access to your network, but DriveSafe.ly needs to have access to your emails in order to read them out loud. Your network administrator can change these settings.

Please make sure your APN settings are correct for your mobile carrier. To check your APN settings, go to Options -> Advanced Options -> TCP. You may need to contact your mobile carrier to find the correct settings.

Do your other Internet apps work? If not, then you do not have a valid connection and need to go to an area with better coverage for DriveSafe.ly to work
