Like many states, Massachusetts has enacted a law that bans texting while driving, which goes into effect October 1. Many residents have already been practicing to comply with the new law, but it has not been easy. Trying to give up an activity that is almost constant while awake is difficult, especially for young people who have had cell phones for most of their lives.
